The following information refers to the mandatory workshop training for students who started in 2021 or earlier.
Informationen on duration and scheduling, content and recognition of the workshop training can be found on the curriculum website.
Please check the company directory in our internship application to find companies that have already offered spaces for the workshop training.
For your search of a workshop training position you are not limited to the company directory, but you are always free to search independently, on the basis of the requirements formulated in the Study guide.
Please check the requirements for the workshop training in the study guide. Every training fulfilling these requirements will be accepted.
The activity report and the confirmation from the company have to be uploaded using the internship application after the workshop training. Please refer to the student administration office for questions.
Insurance
Insurance during the workshop training is in your own responsibility, either through your obligatory health insurance with insurance in case of accidents or through the company. Please check your internship contract that you are insured against accidents on the job through the company. A personal liability insurance is recommended. The ETH does not take any responsibility for internships outside ETH. Related links:
Work permit
Third-Country Citizens need a work permit for the workshop training in Switzerland.
Residence permit
For foreign students who do an internship abroad: Please make sure that your residence permit in Switzerland does not expire during the internship.
