Admission for Bachelor Students from D-MAVT (ETH)

D-MAVT bachelor students who have acquired all credit points of the first year and need not more than 35 additional ECTS credit points for graduation, as well as D-MAVT graduates who have not yet been deregistered, enroll in consecutive Master's programs by means of myStudies, starting two months before the beginning of each semester at the earliest. Make sure you pay attention to the registration deadlines quoted in the Academic calendar. Candidates who profit from this shortcut may not, however, start their Master thesis before having accomplished the bachelor's program completely.

D-MAVT bachelor graduates wishing to enroll in consecutive Master's programs should contact the Registror's Office one month before semester starts.

Prior to enrolling for Master core courses, candidates must have made their choice of a Master tutor and completed, in collaboration with him/her the so-called Tutor Agreement.

Master MTEC: D-MAVT bachelor students can apply for the consecutive Master MTEC.

All other Students

All other candidates must submit an application (more infomation). For each Master's programm all admission requirements and procedure are described in the the following documents :

Please note:The Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering attracts an above-average number of applicants and is, due to lack of capacity, unable to grant admission to every qualified foreign student. Admission in such cases proceeds selectively on the basis of the profile of requirements, the level of mastery of the subject, and the study performance record in the previous Bachelor’s degree program."
