Duration of Study and Degree
Time required
Our Masters' are full-time study programs. The completion of 90 ECTS credit points (cp) requires an average of 3 semesters. Issuance of the Master degree must be requested within three years from the begin of Master's studies.
In some cases, admission to a Master's program is granted on condition that a certain number of credits from the BSc ETH in Mechanical Engineering program have to be obtained as well. If this additional workload amounts to 21-30 cp, the maximum duration of the Master studies is extended by one semester. If it totals 31-60 cp, the authorized extension is one year.
