Mobility

In line with one of the key objectives of the Bologna Declaration, the promotion of widespread student mobility, D-MAVT encourages its students to expand their outlook by completing semester of their studies at another university.

D-MAVT has mobility agreements with a number of partner universities in Europe, North America and Asia. The ETH Student Exchange Office can provide detailed information about these agreements, available scholarships and the related administrative processes.

ETH is part of the IDEA League, which supports vertical mobility - a master's program in a different university (after graduation) - among its partners and offers a grant scheme for research collaboration.

The MAVT mobility advisors supports both types of mobility students as they prepare their mobility programs:

• Incoming students, and
• Outgoing students

There are different possibilities for organizing a semester abroad:

1. Participating in an existing ETH exchange program
2. Participating in a project (bachelor's or master's thesis); the student organizes this with the help of the thesis supervisor; he/she does not have the status of a "mobility student" but could receive some financial support from ETH
3. Finding an industrial internship in a company abroad
