Hanspeter Fässler received his PhD in mechatronics/robotics from ETH Zurich and an engineering degree from Stanford University. From 1989 to 2010 he has worked for ABB and in 2006 became head of the Mediterranean Region, Country Manager of ABB Italy and CEO of ABB S.p.A.. Prior to this he was Country Manager of ABB Switzerland and in 2009 of ABB France. On 1st July 2010 he became CEO of Implenia AG. In addition he has been a Member of the Board of Directors of Dätwyler Holding AG since 2004. Since February 2012 he is Head of ABB/ Thomas &Betts North America.
