Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award – FS 2023

Bachelor

Performance-related yearly prizes to the five students which achieve the highest scores on the First year examinations, as well as the five best students who graduate the D-MAVT Bachelor's program.

Nominations: The D-MAVT Professors' Conference nominates and decides on the prize winners.

Legal Basis Outstanding D-MAVT Bachelor Award

Master

The prerequisites for awarding a Master's Thesis with the ETH-Medal are:

  • Master Thesis given a grade of 6.0
  • Written explanation from the thesis supervisor on the extraordinary nature of the work
  • Average final grade for the Master program is at least 5.25.

Nominations: D-MAVT informs the thesis supervisors about potential candidates. The supervisors decide upon the nomination.

After adopting nominations, the Head of Department submits an application to the rector for the conferment of the medal.c

The Willi Studer Prize is given annually to the best graduate in each ETH Zurich Master’s degree program.

With the “Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award” the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering recognizes the outstanding performance of students and doctoral students as teaching assistants. Through their dedication, they make a significant contribution to high-​quality teaching at the department.
