The event was organized by LIMES with the aim of inspiring more young women to choose these science fields.

At the beginning two former students shared their experience at ETH Zurich with the girls. Lisa Poulikakos is currently a doctoral student at the ETH Optical Material Engineering Laboratory, while Tabita Arn took a position at Swisscom after finishing her studies in electrical engineering. Professor Mirko Meboldt, Chair of Product Development and Engineering, and Gabriela Hug, Professor of Electrical Engineering, gave further insights into the study programs.

In addition to these presentations, numerous lab tours had been organized. Among others the schoolgirls were introduced to the Flying Machine Arena, the High-Voltage Laboratory, the Scewo focus project and the application of mechanical engineering in medicine.
