R&D 100 Award 2016 for simulation software
Nek5000, a software for the simulation of fluid flow and combustion, received the prestigious R&D 100 Award 2016. A team of researchers lead by Dr. Christos Frouzakis and Prof. Konstantin Boulouchos at the Laboratory of Aerothermochemistry and Combustion Systems (LAV) has participated in the development of the software.
Every year the R&D magazine honors the top 100 outstanding technological innovations of the year with the R&D Award. Researchers worked on the development of the high-performance software for the accurate and efficient simulation of fluid flow and combustion for about 15 years.
