Based on the real mission of space probe Rosetta for the European Space Agency (ESA), the participants will implement their own mission. The challenge: As with the real mission, Rosetta will not land as planned. The aspiring researchers will need to programme the robots in such a way that they can find their target independently on the comet and will be able to provide the desired data. "Our Mint & Pepper Camp is not intended as time off," says Stefan Bertschi, Deputy Head of the Robotics Platform at Wyss Zurich. "We want to playfully introduce the participants to technology so that they understand better why they are learning math in school."
