Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award
With the “Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award” the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering recognizes the outstanding performance of students and doctoral students as teaching assistants.
Through their dedication, students and doctoral students make a significant contribution to high-quality teaching at the department. The award is presented every semester and encompasses CHF 500 and a letter of recognition from the director of studies.
To be considered for the “Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award” the teaching assistant needs to be nominated by one of the following:
- lecturer of the course
- head teaching assistant
- students in the courses
- student representatives (AMIV)
According to the until the following deadlines:
Fall Semester: by the end of week 46
Spring Semester: by the end of week 21
Nominated teaching assistants have to hand in the following documents to be considered for the award:
- Name and ID of the course, semester, academic year
- Brief description of how they teach (teaching philosophy)
- Letter of support/nomination from the lecturer, head TA or AMIV (when applicable)
- Letter of support from students of the course
All applications will be evaluated by an AMIV committee, whose decision in a final step will be approved by the D-MAVT Teaching Committee.
