The Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering offers doctoral students an excellent programme of studies with international accreditation.
Doctoral studies at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT) are characterised by independent and original scientific research conducted under the supervision of a professor.
The objective of doctoral studies is to equip doctoral students with expert knowledge and skills in the field of their doctoral thesis, in cognate disciplines and in interdisciplinary areas, and to integrate themselves into the scientific community. In addition, doctoral students take an active part in the teaching work of the department, thereby learning how to teach at university level. A doctorate in D-MAVT typically takes three to four years.
