David Norris appointed Optica Fellow 2023
Professor David Norris, Head of the Optical Materials Engineering Laboratory at the ETH Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, has been named an Optica Fellow 2023. Optica is an international scientific association in the field of optics and photonics.
David Norris was selected as an Optica Fellow 2023 based on his outstanding research, which has contributed significantly to the advancement of photonic nanomaterials and the development of novel nanophotonic systems.
The goal of Optica is to share knowledge in the field of optics and photonics and to advance research in this area. Fellows are appointed annually by the Board of Directors based on their achievements in areas such as business, education, research, or engineering. This time, a total of 109 members from 24 countries were honored as Fellows 2023. The association, which has more than 22,000 members, is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
