Markus Bambach new Vice Rector for Study Programs
Markus Bambach, Professor of Advanced Manufacturing at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT), will assume the position of Vice Rector for Study Programs at ETH Zurich as of 1 July 2023.
The Executive Board of ETH Zurich has appointed Markus Bambach as Vice Rector for Study Programs. He will take up the position on 1 July 2023.
The Vice Rector for Study Programs assists ETH Rector Günther Dissertori with projects in the area of teaching. For example, he is responsible for admissions and examinations in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. Another focus is on quality management in teaching. The vice rector also chairs the Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Program (ESOP) commission and the entrance examination committee.
Bambach takes over from Lorenz Hurni, Professor of Cartography at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (D-BAUG), who held the post for five and a half years.
