From focus project to world record

Every year, students invest many hours in developing and constructing the focus project Formula Student Electric at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT). Now their efforts have paid off. The racing car “mythen” they initially helped develop has broken the world acceleration record.

The record-breaking electric racing car mythen had been developed originally by Bachelor students from D-MAVT and D-ITET, that together with students from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Art, participated in the focus project “Formula Student Electric”. Since, the design has been revised and refined by the Academic Motorsports Club Zurich (AMZ) to achieve the acceleration world record. More details on the world record are found in the article featured by ETH News.
